You did succeed, though, in making it look quite striking in a desolate, romantic 'The Wasteland' apocalyptic kind of way, like a setting for the kingdom of the Fisher King, or of the evil lord in a low-budget modern-dress version of 'Lord of the Rings'.
I liked the play of coloured lights and the sound of the wind chimes; was that the actual sound track or did you add it?

I added the entire sound track : wind howl and chimes, with the idea - you were right - to make it look like a built desert.
